Frequently Asked Questions

1. Common Questions

Q:

I just signed up, now what?

Hell yeah!! Welcome to the family. We’re so glad you’re taking this step to fight for your right to a fair credit report. *hella beastie boys voice* We’re going to get you access to all three of your credit reports, help you understand the different positive and negative tradelines, and work with you to put together a plan to challenge the ones that are hurting you. Once we get the plan in place, we’ll keep you in the loop on every challenge, response, and removal. Exciting times ahead, we can’t wait for you to get the credit you deserve!

Q:

Is this legal?

Man, you sound like the police. Yes! Not only is this legal, but so important. The Fair Credit Reporting Act was written to protect you! We’re sick of the bureaus selling your personal information and not being held accountable when they’re not fairly representing you.

Q:

What kind of results can I expect?

Credit is a very personal thing so everyone’s results will be different. You can expect us to work hard on your behalf to ensure your reports are a fair representation of who you are as a borrower. You can check out our testimonials to see how ‘it really works’ for a lot of our community members, but the lawyers make sure we don’t promise it will work for you. (It probably will 😉🙊)

Q:

How does this work?

We work with all three bureaus to get copies of your credit reports then work with you to understand your unique situation. After understanding what impacted the negative items on your report, we work with the bureaus and your creditors to ensure that the reports are fair, accurate and justifiable. We make it so easy to follow along on the app and we’re always available to answer any questions along the way.

2. Credit Repair

Q:

What kinds of items can be removed from my credit report?

We’ve seen it all removed. Collections, late payments, inquiries, charge offs, bankruptcies, liens, judgements, you name it and we’ve seen it taken off of a report for being unfair, inaccurate, or unverifiable.

Q:

Why is it important to work with all three major bureaus?

A huge advantage for our friends vs the clients of our competitors is that we work with all three bureaus. What good is cleaning up your TransUnion report if your auto lender uses Equifax? Or getting your Equifax score up if your mortgage lender uses Experian? By covering all three bureaus we put you in a position to be successful in your credit journey no matter who the lender is using. We want you to get that car, apartment, job, house, or just to feel good about the good credit you’ve built!

Q:

Can something be removed from my credit report even if it is accurate?

Absolutely. It’s important that the items on your report aren’t just accurate, but also fair. We will help you work with the bureaus and your creditors to ensure your report is accurate, but also fair and verifiable.

3. Our Process

Q:

Can you help me with my debt?

No, but we want to! We can point you in the right direction if that’s what you’re looking for, but for now we just work to clean up credit reports.

Q:

What makes you the best?

Almost all of our friends finish with the process in the first year, and most in the first 6 months. It’s important to understand that everyone will have a different timeline. There’s a lot of things that impact the timeline. Are we attacking 20 items? 60? 3? What was going on in your life when these negative items popped up? Here’s our commitment, we’ll go as fast as we can and be as aggressive as possible on your behalf. We’re not in the business of dragging our friends along through the process. We want to get you results so you’ll tell all your friends how great we are at this.

4. Account and Pricing

Q:

Why is your paid service better than the free?

The free service is so good. The only knock is it’s just one of the three bureaus and it’s just one challenge at a time. Our paid service gets all three bureaus and gets you 15 challenges a month. What good is cleaning up your TransUnion report if your apartment leasing office pulls your Experian report? Or what if that credit card you’re applying for uses Equifax? We want to prepare all three reports for the big day and we want you to get approved.

Q:

How easy is it to cancel?

So. Damn. Easy. You’ve probably seen places where you gotta fax, mail, call, or give 30 days notice to cancel. Not here. If you’re done, we’re so excited for you! Hit the big red cancel button in your account and tell everyone you know how great your experience was with us. Please? 🙏

Q:

Are there any contracts?

Nah. We make it super easy to start, even easier to stop, and we let you decide when to do either of those things.

Q:

How much does it cost?

You probably gathered by now, but a big part of why we started this business is because we wanted to make affordable options for people who needed help getting back on their feet financially. We offer a free service level so you can check us out and fall in love. When you’re ready to take your credit journey seriously we have a plan that costs just $39 a month. Almost no one else in this space offers a free service and most of their plans start at $70-80 a month. Plus we don’t have any hidden fees or weird bills showing up in the first five days… ahem… Lexington Law. 👀
